Overview

We believe, with St. Irenaeus, that "The glory of God is the human person fully alive."

Ensuring our students' academic success is just one of the elements of our mission here at St. Rose of Lima. We encourage all students to participate in the numerous clubs and activities offered throughout the year.

Under the leadership of our new athletic director, Mike Thomas, the athletics program has grown significantly this year. Each fall, we offer opportunities for students to participate in boys and girls basketball with teams ranging from third grade to eighth grade. Girls from fifth to eighth grade can take part in our girls volleyball league in the spring. Finally, we were excited to offer our middle school boys a chance to play baseball this spring for the first time in many years at St. Rose.

As a member of the University of Notre Dame's "Play Like a Champion Today" program, our coaches, students, and parents are trained to follow and uphold the Catholic principles of justice, tolerance, cooperation, respect, and solidarity.

Students also have the ability to join many non-athletic clubs offered by community members. In speech club, our middle schoolers prepare speeches for competition while other middle schoolers get the yearbook ready for publishing in yearbook club. Students from fifth to eighth grade run for student council with high aspirations to lead their peers in new and exciting activities around the school. We are thrilled to offer these numerous opportunities for our students to share their strengths and become more "fully alive" in Christ.
